Applications are welcome for the post of Salaried General Practitioner, based at Slateford Medical Practice, Edinburgh.   We are looking for between 4 and 8 sessions per week as part of succession planning.

We are willing to be flexible on days and appreciate the post might be suited to more than one person.   We would welcome applications from newly qualified GP’s, those considering a retainer post and more experienced GP’s looking to explore new opportunities.   There are likely to be partnership opportunities over the next few years.   We work as a team at Slateford and being supportive of one another is a priority as well as providing excellent clinical care for our patients.
The practice is located on the outskirts of the City Centre in Edinburgh. We are supported by a fantastic team, consisting of 2 part time practice-based pharmacists, 1 MSK Physiotherapist, 1 Mental Health Nurse and they work alongside our 4 Partners, 5 Salaried GP’s, 2 Practice Nurses, 4 Health Care Assistants and a wonderful team of 10 Administrators. Our Practice Manager is supported by our Deputy Practice Manager.

The GP Practice is part of purpose-built premises which also house community services such as District Nursing, Health Visitors, School Nurses and Midwives.  We have our own onsite car park.

We have a patient population of around 11,000 patients and we use Vision as our clinical system.

Indemnity paid by practice and salary negotiable depending on experience.
